Campus Facilities

Educational Garden: HIS garden extends over about forty square meters of land where our students connect with the environment, carry out planting activities, and conduct scientific observations about nature. We exploited this space for planting and producing organic produce that benefits the school and its community.

Location and surrounding environment: HIS is located on top of a hill facing the sea to the west; Beirut International Airport to the north; and the mountains and forests to the southeast. The School is also surrounded by a variety of trees, neighbored by herds of grazing cattle, budding construction sites, and factories that are within ten minutes from campus. All these surroundings offer rich and authentic learning opportunities where students can simultaneously experience learning from life and about life.

ICT Center: The Information and Communications Technology Center (ICT) is a place where students can research, interact, and communicate in virtual digital settings using different programs, internally, regionally, and globally.

Science Laboratory: The science laboratory is a space that encourages students to learn and gain experiential knowledge and skills. Students can get involved in a variety of experiments and can research about scientific theories and concepts.

Al-Furkan Masjid: The grand opening of Al-Furkan Masjid was on Friday, November 11, 2017. In this mesmerizing space, one can sense the peacefulness and tranquility of the beautiful masjid! Our teams and students have the privilege to perform prayers and conduct the Islamic Studies sessions in the Masjid, in a space dedicated to that purpose. Al-Furkan Masjid accommodates up to 700 people.

HIS Cafeteria: HIS seeks to raise student awareness about healthy life habits. Accordingly, the cafeteria was established to serve healthy nutritious meals to both its students and its community. For the young learners, Early Years classes, three meals are served on a daily basis with a fixed yearly subscription to the cafeteria service. For older students, Grade one and upwards, the cafeteria services are optional. These services extend to the school community by allowing the option of pre-ordering individual and family meals. In the near future, the cafeteria plans to extend its services to the surrounding community.

HIS Outdoor Football Field and Basketball Court: One of the most prominent “site” accomplishments for the academic year of 2019-2020, was the opening of the outdoor Football field and Basketball court. The basketball court adheres to international standards. The school administration plans to host international football and basketball academies granting HIS students the priority of enrollment.
